Big, heavy SUVs may be fading off into the background, but they
aren't going away. Toyota seems to be staying in the large SUV game
with an upcoming update to the giant Land Cruiser. Caught testing
in Australia, the Land Cruiser looks larger than the last model,
and it might end up with a diesel engine under the hood too. The
new 4.5L V8 will produce over 200 HP and 300 pound-feet of torque
will help the gas mileage equation while giving owners more options
than ever before.
The vehicle isn't expected to be unveiled until the Tokyo Motor
Show in the fall.
