Toyota South Africa has announced an added value special edition package for the Land Cruiser Pick-up petrol and diesel models. Toyota has chosen the name "Brutus" for this package in keeping with the legendary toughness and versatility of this popular 4X4 workhorse.
The Brutus package adds both visual and functional elements to the Land Cruiser Pickup. Most obvious of the visual elements is the bold new front bumper and bull bar combination with its prominent "Brutus" logo and high-lift jack points. Styled 16-inch diameter steel wheel rims fitted with Continental "Conti-trac" 235/85 R16 tyres add a further point of difference, as do unique decals applied to the sides and rear of the vehicle.
Side steps and a rear step-bumper with high-lift jack points provide a welcome step up into the cab and load box of this imposing vehicle. A roll bar incorporating the Brutus logo completes the external styling package. A removable woven load box matt is also provided.
The Brutus theme is carried through into the vehicle with canvas seat covers that feature the Brutus logo with floor mats to match. A leather-covered steering wheel introduces a touch of luxury. The standard vinyl type gear and 4WD selector knobs are replaced with stylish stainless steel components. Functional and comfort elements of the package are air conditioning and a front loading radio/CD player.
The Brutus special edition package celebrates this ongoing sales success by providing a visually distinctive vehicle with added comfort at an add on cost, inclusive of VAT, of just R34 000 for both the petrol and diesel engine variants of the Land Cruiser Pick-up.
